My Experience
I took the train to Malahide and went straight from the station to the castle grounds. We paid 10 euros to explore the gardens and visit the butterfly gardens as well. After exploring, we walked around the castle, which was beautiful. It is an option to tour the inside, but we did not choose to do this as the timing didn’t work. After the castle, we walked around Malahide, the town was not too interesting, and the main attraction was the castle. I would recommend the castle area, but it is not necessary to spend too much time in Malahide.
